Your First Books
I was at my Mom’s this weekend, emptying out stuff Barb and I had stored in her attic. One of the tubs had my full se of AD&D books from High School. I haven’t gotten to page through them yet, but I was super excited to see them again.
What was your first set and when did you last see it?

Dunedain or Man of the West is the race you're referring to Mike.

Roller Derby - what I've seen of it on youtube looks awesome. The Mad Rollin Dolls are local, but in all my years getting somebody to watch the kids is for movie premiers only.

Sorry, no uniform. Best I can offer is I wear khaki shorts as often as possible so long as it’s above freezing.

Harmony Gold's case against Harebrained Schemes has been dismissed with prejudice. Fuck Yeah!

Re: Harmony Gold vs Harebrained Schemes
I need to find a quiet study somewhere to read FATE. I think it's cool, but there's a lot to it to unpack and doing it through a browser window does me no favors. Justice sent me good stuff, so I am happy about that. Also, I still want a lance of Griffins and Wolverines pounding the crap out of Clan...

Re: [Movies] Rampage
I saw RAMPAGE Friday morning and it hit a lot of the same 'so dumb and so awesome' notes as Power Rangers and Monster Trucks. They got how to give us a movie that echoed the video game. I loved it. In addition to that, they did something really smart. There are a lot of people of color in the movie ...

Re: Harmony Gold vs Harebrained Schemes
Well now I have to look at how FATE powers Mech on Mech mayhem. Because at this point, I'm trying to convince my kids to play MECHATON: GIANT FIGHTY ROBOTS with me.
Building mecha out of Lego is pretty damned cool though.

I like PF2. I don't know that I'll buy it, but I like it.

What is wrong with Battletech? Who doesn't want to cut loose with all the guns on a Rifleman or Highlander burial some newb?
Battlemech on Battlemech is good time fun.

Re: New Pathfinder?
Here's the big question, do you want to play pathfinder because pathfinder is good? Go for it. There are other fantasy games that you can use to tell the same stories that will cost you less money. I'm picking up Dungeon World soon and will get a review up here for it (because I really need to get b...

When new Robotech stuff comes out, Harmony Gold can climb back out of their graves.
I want the mechs I started playing Battletech with!

Quote from Wargames keeps me from being scared about nuclear war, "I've planned ahead. We're just three miles from a primary target. A millisecond of brilliant light and we're vaporized. Much more fortunate than millions who wander sightless through the smoldering aftermath. We'll be spared the...

Re: Texting Grammar
My use is about context. If I have to text/lync at work to someone who isnt a colleague, I write the same way I would as if I were sending an email. Friends and colleagues get far less formal communication. I type sound effects, use emojis or textmojis (which I like far more because they are still i...
