Invisibles 1015
Every week, there is a new Invisibles Quiz, posted over at FilmWise.com. We solve the Invisibles Quiz as a group. As soon as we have identified all 8 movies, someone goes over to FilmWise and submits the correct answers under our name (NerdPrideRadio). When you post your answers here, please use the...

Re: Some Fine People
I don’t think it was taken out of context, but even if it were- this is only one of numerous incidents of racist and sexist statements by Trump. Even if it were taken out of context- so what? That doesn’t mean he’s not a racist.

Re: Ranking all the 2019 Theatrically Released Horror Movies
The Divine Fury - Here’s what I’ve been waiting for. A movie I’ve never heard of and wouldn’t watch if I did. This Korean movie focuses on an MMA champ whose dad died when he was a kid and he’s lost his faith in God. He runs into a priest (I discovered 30% of South Koreans are Christians) who is an...

Re: Ranking all the 2019 Theatrically Released Horror Movies
The Church - Indican Pictures, the distributor of this movie, is going to be the death of me. Their responsible for half the movies left on this list and they all look horrible. I think Indican picks these films up, promises a theatrical release in two theaters for a week (they all earn very little...

Re: Books I Read in 2020
Console Wars - Blake Harris. This was a fascinating examination of the rise and eventual fall of Sony as a console producer. It's told in a weird, sometimes distracting style of fictionalizing key conversations between key players. But it's extremely well researched and well told. Watching Sony, an...

House of Purple Cedar - Tim Tingle. This is a different read from my normal choice. It's a fictional coming of age story of an 11 year old Choctaw girl in 1897. The entire book is steeped in native american perspective in a way that is refreshing and fascinating. It tells an unblinking story of the...

Re: Some Fine People
Exactly. But it also ignores the underlying circumstances that this arose in. After the incident, Trump was repeatedly asked to denounce the new-nazis, and he refused for several days, instead choosing to equivocate. Those are the acts of a racist and is consistent with his other numerous racist act...

Re: Books I Read in 2020
Devolution - Max Brooks. You know, there may come a time where I get tired of Max Brooks' style of "oral history reduced to writing." But that time isn't here yet. Zombie Survival Guide was great, but World War Z was a masterpiece. This is almost as enjoyable as Z. Devolution is the story...

Howard On Disney Plus, a documentary on Howard Ashman, made by the friends who loved him. A clear look at the life of one of the wittiest songwriters ever, a relatively regular by-the-numbers but often moving chronological review of his life. I get it's about his life, but I wish there was more app...

Re: Some Fine People
I watched it live. This does nothing to change my mind that Trump is a racist. I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make, or why you would want to make it. Trumps a racist. Trump retweeted another “fine person” who shouted “white power.” Trump called African countries “Shitholes.” Multiple...
