ROUND ONE
Hestia brings out a Krosan wayfarer. As soon as Artemis summons a Shelkin brownie, Hestia sacrifices her wayfarer to increase her mana connections, then summons a knight of glory. Artemis, having nothing to lose attacks with the brownie, then summons a diving griffin. Hestia seeks aid from Alara and summons a sigil captain, an inspiring rhino soldier. Artemis starts attacking in the air with the griffin, and summons a centaur. Hestia enchants her forces with righteous cause, but Artemis naturalizes the spell away as her griffin continues its attack. Hestia summons a niblis of the mist (which entrances the centaur) and an eager cadet, strengthened by the sigil captain. The rhino then wades in for an uncontested hit. Artemis attacks with her griffin and centaur, and Hestia is willing to block with her niblis and cadet. After all combatants die, Artemis picks off the survivors with wrath of god. Hestia begins the process of repopulating the battlefield with a dawning purist, while Artemis brings out a weaker elvish pioneer. Hestia's purist attacks, and she casts a storm seeking sword directly at Artemis. Artemis creates a triskelion (weird looking construct), while Hestia brings out a mastiff trained in the tactics of the Boros. When the triskelion attacks, Hestia has her forces gang up on the triskelion. Artemis infuses her construct with the thrill of the hunt, just enough to kill Hestia's forces and have her own survive. She then summons an oakgnarl warrior to the field and finishes Hestia off. She claims the hearth goddess's fountain of youth as spoils.
ROUND TWO
Hestia begins by creating her OTHER fountain of youth, following it up with some Argothian pixies. Artemis, not having anything better to do, naturalizes the fountain of youth into oblivion. Hestia attacks with her pixies, and then summons clerics in the form of keepers of her faith. The assault continues and a Kinsbaile balloonist joins Hestia's forces. Artemis unleashes her wrath, destroying Hestia's field. Artemis summons a Daru warchief, but Hestia makes it seek oblation. Artemis assures a steady flow of mana by summoning an elvish pioneer and seekng the horizon. Hestia starts to recuperate by summoning a knight of glory. Artemis' pioneer is boltstered by the strength of isolation and attacks. A cloudcrown oak lumbers onto the field, helping the hunt goddess attack. Hestia summons up a bronze horse and uses it to make an exalted attack. Artemis' recruits block it, killing it at the cost of the treefolk. Hestia then summons the giant Akron legionnaire. Artemis creates a story circle to protect against white-aligned creatures, and then summons a hungry foratog. When the foratog attacks, Hestia's legionnaire blocks it. The foratog greedily eats up forests to beat the giant, and is eluded when Hestia summons a fog to prevent the death blow. The foratog continues to attack; the knight of glory blocks it only to die when the foratog eats more forests. Another treefolk enters the battle in the form of Artemis' sheltering ancient. Hestia summons a Capashen templar. Artemis' ancient treefolk starts strengthening Hestia's forces, but the hunt goddess shows no worries. Her elvish pioneer lures Hestia's forces away long enough for the sheltering ancient and a completely engorged foratog to defeat Hestia.
