Finally, I don't think you've thought through this thing about cottage cheese infused with the sentience of Aidan. Here's the thing- imagine that you can communicate with it telepathically. You talk with it. It's confused. It's scared. It doesn't know what happened, but somehow he's become cottage cheese. You look over and tell Human-Aidan what's going on and he's understandably freaked out- but forget about him for a second and let's get back to cottage-cheese-Aidan, because he's crying for you! "Where are you Pops? Don't leave me! Oh god, don't leave me! It's dark and I'm alone and I'm scared! I don't think so. Because we both know that even though Aidan is a human sitting right next to you, that bucket of turned cottage cheese is also your son and it needs his father.
