Right this was the year I got into Lizzo (and shared here) but she didn't hit mainstream until next year. That said she was a critical darling since at least 2016 when "Good as Hell" first dropped. ya ya eee

I definitely don't revisit her 2016 EP enough lately. She showed even then she could dominate all corners of R&B, like this throwback with extended fluting

A year earlier this one was on a totally different R&B corner and sounds perfect for her too
