I will defend Bruno Mars tho. He seems to be thrown in there because people mistake him, not for what the others are being accused of.

It is a weird thing though. In music it's sort of seen as a sign of authenticity, and it's... complicated. Obviously people are protective of their cultural places, and obviously are weary of white people jumping into a genre and cashing in. Obviously some music is rooted in cultures, and that should all be acknowledged and respected. That said, I don't want segregated music. I just don't. A culture where there's black hip hop and white country and a pressure to stay in your lane is not a healthy one. Break down the barriers.

Interestingly, there’s been some pretty damning condemnations of both for cultural appropriation. I find those accusations hard to defend for either of them.
No doubt.

I was just reading about Tina Turner, and when Ike died she pretty much released a statement that said "no comment" and people went nuts on how rude they thought that was. I can think of a few things more rude, like say how Ike treated Tina...

That's how those weird cults get started, and eventually there's an extensive police investigation and a Netflix special. I find it both disturbing and unrealistic. Did they finally get to the basement or what? What prevented them from falling further down? And why was nobody ever injured by the falling drywall and ceiling beams?
Plus when you're a woman of a certain age and you don't have much control of your body as it is, you don't want any hint of a suggestion that it could do even worse things. That was the disturbingly realistic aspect.

Great song and although the video felt vaguely familiar, maybe it was described in an article or podcast, it did make me lol with the last shot.

Mikes first girlfriend was Sue Meads. She died tragically from soaking in a warm bath for 14 hours. He had a hard time getting over it.

There it is! This fractals!

And is much bigger than #21 of 2014 infers. I still contend it will probably be the most famous song from the 2010s say a century from now.
