There was some year in the last decade where there was nearly no people of color who had a number one hit. I think it was a bit of an anomaly thankfully (and didn't count featured artists like Pharrell, who has at least one more on here knowing that 2013 was his biggest year) but given how this year has started I'm thinking it was this year.....

Still stabs, as the kids say. The video I'm mixed on, a dozen iconic GIFs repeated, but I guess as it's one big amazing jam that's made up of a bunch of copy-and-paste vocal lines, drums, guitars, etc, a perfect mix of a dance rock track that's mixed with the sampling aesthetic.

Feel free to disagree, but I think our new word should satisfy a few rules:
1. the word already exists, or is closely tied to an existing word
2. is an action or elicits the feel of an action
3. the word could be taken negatively (ala slaps, bangs) but us cool kids would know its positive

I don't think this is the answer, but one that would satisfy the three:

Nods.

Man, that track nods!

Positive: similar to bangs in that it's about the movement of yer head
Negative: kinda a weird word, could be misheard for "nots"

or...

Wags!

Dude, this song wags!

Positive: this song is making me feel like a happy dog's tail
Negative: close to "wack", also in british press wags means "wifes and gilfriends"
