I'm of the firm belief that this is only because of the money. Poor people with her mental problems don't go under lifelong conservatorships. The only reason-- and I've heard the people on the conservatorship use this logic-- is because there's "so much at stake." But the "so much" there is the money. It's gross.

I was trying to get my husband to make comment upon this but he does not want to discuss Britney Spears with any of his minutes alive on Earth. That's what I don't understand. Isn't it normal for them to hire an objective and uninterested third-party who gets paid a flat rate to supervised the decision making so that nobody is able to abuse the authority?
