That microphone makes it look like he's singing on an airship in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

Hey, local band from my area goes big for a little bit! Saw them a few times in their pre-fame days...
Missy's "Lose Control" autoplayed after. It knows what I want!

I swear, people are so nice. I've had to stop at half a dozen places today, and everyone is so helpful. What a heartwarming day.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Deathless
Skittering synths, falsetto vocals, mouth beats, weird samples. So much silly fun!

First appearance by The Robots!
In case you never heard the original, which blew my mind in 2000...

I'll keep you my dirty little egret

Looking for fish while you're standing in the creek bed

[insert that one green guy emoji I hated and is no longer available but would be apt given this song's title]
The song's feminist message is tempered by it being cowritten by a creep and the music video is directed by a man and is a bit male gazey

Those 808s are pretty loud in the mix, but kinda works -- gives it a DIY feel (same with the video). References the doublemint twins. Good stuff!!

Re: Deathless
Pretty good -- but I admit a bit easy to dismiss. I'd suggest checking out Dr. Carter which he also released in 08, which is epic in its scope (and is produced by Alicia Keys' beau Swizz Beatz)

Re: Deathless
The apex of the Timmy's "I can do everything" era. A few years before he worked with The Hives. A year earlier he worked with Bjork. I think Max Martin has had a bigger era, but Max is always interested in the perfect pop song, while Timmy always seemed interested in making the best song.

Listened to this since Jordin is the lead. First listen and it's pretty darn impressive.

I was considering getting an Occulus Quest, so I could play Myst VR, but then found out that you have to use a Facebook account to use it. Guess I'll wait for the Steam VR version to come out.
Re: Deathless
Silly song but some fantastic synths
Re: Deathless
And more importantly, it's in the club.

100% stolen from the College Humor video below. For some reason Dirty Little Egret was my earworm of the day, and I was so excited, because I thought that if Dirty Little Secret came up on Tahlvin's list, I would post the parody version in reply. But sadly, it was 2005. So I just posted the lyrics anyway to purge them from my head.
