That's some fast beats for an otherwise slow song

That Crazy Town song is a weird hit. Like. Real weird.

Now we are truly in the age of Nickelback!
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Deathless
Okay, Mike's video is actually funny and reeks of a band poking fun at itself. And I want to know why Poorpete doesn't like Nickleback. Is it because we're not supposed to like Nickleback? 'Cause that song is actually okay. And no, I don't know the rest of their catalogue that I'm aware of.
Re: Deathless
A. I like some Nickelback.
B. The sea shanty version of Rockstar kills, and kudos to Nickelback for saying yes to that.

Re: Deathless
It's fine to like Nickleback, go for it! The song is fine, will say, has hooks, though I've never gotten on its wavelength. I guess this could be the case for so many years, but there's soooo many better songs, better rocks songs, from 2002. And this is during my "this music is great, that music sucks" college era. So my current "all music is a gift" is butting up against how I felt at the time and sure some unnecessary biases etc.
But in this project I've given so many, like Mariah second chances, and it's proven worthwhile, I should give some bro-rock the same. Good call. Thanks for prodding.

I have no recollection of this song. And it sounds like I should. Like maybe I've heard a country cover of it- by a woman. Or it was in commercials or something. But I don't recall ever hearing this version of this song.

Wow. This song is so pervasive, and yet I had no idea who performed it. Weird.

Re: Deathless
Several new year's eve murder mystery parties ago, I posted up extensively about how I was going to perform this song during the talent portion of the party. The music started with that very recognizable piano riff intro I sucked in a deep breath to start the lyrics, "Making my way downtown..." but then (by design) it cut to the intro for Never Gonna Give You Up, which I then performed in full. It was perfect. It was a IRL Rickroll. I feel like I achieved some kind of Troll Hall of Fame for it.
Re: Deathless
Nice. Will we get more female piano players between now and Taylor Swift's Cardigan?
I need to keep a record of all my "is this the last?" statements

Very surprised how much rock is back. I figured these bands would be drowned out by R&B and hip hop as it's been for the last decade.

I like this song even though if I think about it too hard, I know I shouldn’t.
Re: Deathless
When I worked at our college radio station this album arrived early and we all had our favorite tracks but mine was The Middle so I was very happy they eventually chose it as a single and then it became their biggest song. The end.
