I saw Third Eye Blind at ACL a couple of years ago. They were fine, but not great. What amazed me is how many songs of theirs I knew. I could have sworn they were a one hit wonder, but I think I recognized five songs.

It's always been Beyoncé and Kelly, and when they first got big they had these two other women with them. However, they made the wise choice to drop the others (who apparently didn't get much notice and were not pleased) and bring on Michelle. I don't think their subsequent success depended on this move, because you still would have had Beyoncé and Kelly and all the songwriting and singing talent, but success was certainly aided by it significantly. They're much better as a trio and Michelle has a lot better vocal and visual chemistry with them than the others did.

I read the wiki on them too, and it was all familiar because I think I read their wiki three years ago after listening to their Writing On The Wall album which has four on the cover. And obviously I was around when they first were out. So no doubt in a few years I will forget again. :-)

Sampling Nile on the Nile.
Says a lot that with every new genre people go, what if this but disco? It works!

Also Hype Williams direction again!

Also this is on a few "worst ever" lists, and it must be because of overplaying cause I haven't heard in years and this slaps!

I always go into a Sarah McLachlan song like "meh" and leave impressed and sometimes moved. This is a solid tune.

Yes, and a I song I completely forgot about for the last 20 years.

We need to commercialize this and revive Orange Crush- my favorite soda when I was a kid.

So Backstreets Back was the first song I knew from them, so it was very confusing to me. The only thing the song didn't have was someone going "I'm back, did ya miss me?" which I swear was in every other comeback single in the 00s.

Oh that Max Marin sound that took over the world. Even a cheerleader bridge. Oy!

Gonna dismiss this as a throwaway Boys II Men track but it does get into a good groove by the end.

Like this one. Maybe it's to harsh to compare to her Dancing On My Own apex, as very few songs by any pop star can live up to it, why shouldn't she too?

RobYn and RobIn are very different things - I clicked on that one thinking I had finally found a 90s song I enjoy and instead all of my moist parts shriveled and recoiled in horror and I had to find THE ANTIDOTE! However, the antidote says it's from 1993 so I can't blame all this on the decade. This woman can SING and the very last part of the song is an impressive display of the pipes and breath control she has:
