Srsly. It just keeps going. Is 1993 the year with the highest percent of people of color in the top 20?
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Deathless
Sure seems like it! I'm also finding this is the year I was really involved in "adulting" and didn't listen to much new music at all.

Alright, this is grunge, at least in fashion.
Again, history according to this chart is R&B is sky high on the pop chart while guitar rock is almost nowhere to be found. Wonder if any year between then and now will feel any different.

Awesomely weird music video, also good news after a slew of fakers, the woman in the video is the actual singer!

Still, nerdy fun.
Still, nerdy fun.
Re: Deathless
I'm with you Pete- I was convinced that we were going to drown in a tital wave of grunge.

This has some more grunge-adjacent stylings, but is closer to Hanson than Nirvana. I enjoyed this listen, but I think once a decade is enough, see you in 2031, Two Princes!

The award for most grungy distorted guitar Of 1993 goes to Janet's "If."

I feel like someone was punching me in the ribs all night. What's that all about?

I mean these are really good. The Sign is another precursor to the modern pop sound, Swedish producers creating smart poppy radio-friendly confections with decent lyrics to dance to.
I Swear is an ear worm triumph. I don't need to listen. Just saying "I Swear" or "All For One" and it'll attach itself to my brain.
As a 13 year old, I'll Make Love To You was like rated X to me.

I guess we're not getting grunge. Also- did anyone else sneak into Mike's house and punch him in the ribs last night? Just me?

Love that song (for sentimental reasons). Shocked to see it that high.

That's no joke. That's the best voice of my lifetime. She was amazing.

Right? In service of a Three Musketeers comedy, featuring Charlie Sheen and Keifer Sutherland, among others I've forgotten. So pretentious.

Woah, almost Bee Gees level top ten for them. Unlike the other two, I don't think I've heard this is 25 years.
