I'm thinking of moving to a different platform. I'd like to start growing the community again, and I don't know that I can do that here anymore. The website portion of the site is broken, and the forums are horribly outdated and the security is terrible. Bots are smart enough now that I can't allow new members without also allowing 50-100 bots to slip through each day. So instead this is locked down as a private club for the dozen or so of us who still check in.

My problem is that I don't know other systems well enough to recognize whether or not I'd just have the same sort of issues anywhere I take this.

And I don't necessarily mean another set of forums. Discord is a leading contender. I haven't really done any research though.

Well, I do already have several Discord channels (or whatever they're called) related to NPR: one for Godball, and two for a game Mike started running where we were playing high school kids in a horror movie, Dangers in the Mist.
