Welcome to Season 1, Episode 1 of my soon-to-be long running and very famous thread idea called: Guess the Garfield Punchline.
MAIN GAME: Here's how it works. I'll post a Garfield strip with the punchline missing. Everyone try to guess what it is. One guess per person. Whoever is closest wins a point. If no one is even close, then I'll announce that and everyone can get a new guess.
SECONDARY GAME: Post up the funniest punchline you can think of. Make sure you precede this guess with something like "Funny Guess:" or "Should be:" so I know it won't count against your guess for the main game. No points are awarded for the secondary game, but I think this will be the most fun part of it.
Here's an example. I post this:
Then everyone posts up potential answers. Then I'll post this:
Whoever's closest gets a point. Easy right? Here's the actual entry:

[GtGPL/S1E1] Fortune Favors the Brave
Re: [GtGPL/S1E1] Fortune Favors the Brave
Real answer: You're too lazy to come back and pick this up.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: [GtGPL/S1E1] Fortune Favors the Brave
"Curiosity killed the cat." *piano falls*
Re: [GtGPL/S1E1] Fortune Favors the Brave
Neither one of you are close! But Eli's answer is even farther away because it necessitates something that isn't drawn into the strip. SO MIKE GETS THE POINT! But Eli gets the funny point- which might be more valuable.
Re: [GtGPL/S1E1] Fortune Favors the Brave
Mine was funnier that the real one at least. The act of reading it makes it false.
Props to Eli!
