SPEAKING OF PINES... the Eastern White Pine is one of the best pines and evergreens available on Planet Earth! The most important thing you need to know about Pinus Strobus is that these pines are amazingly silky soft. Yes, spruces of the spiky needle, you heard me: despite having big clusters of long needles, these pines are delightful to touch and brush gently against the skin. I have seen more than one nursed from baby size to giant and they are absolutely perfect in their growth habit, their color, symmetry, and ideal balance between openly spaced branches and robust density for shade. The needles create a delicate carpet and the scent of these trees is divine. The picture below gives you a sense of the type of needles, while the lower one is adequate but doesn't quite do justice to the majesty of these beauties when they reach a greater height. They will start small for many years and then suddenly spring up into fabulous strength.

If Kyle gets to have menopause before I do I am going to rebel against this entire system and it will be like when Ursula tried to eat that boat but then even moreso it will be like when they skewered her with the boat.

Kind of good news! The dog is healthy, if not obese, for a 7 and half year old dog. He's just got grand mal seizures. They ran blood work but don't expect to find anything abnormal in that. The vet said that most dog's seizures are ideopathic, and we'll never know what causes them, but they're not doing any permanent damage to him. So they gave us medicine to try to keep them from happening, but think he's going to be fine!
