Re: Calendar
LAST NIGHT!
Re: Calendar
Truly! But the best part was when Anna destroyed our foe with a damage point or two from a weakly tossed dagger. I think Dwyn must have hurt him before the end there, but maybe in a way that something worse is about to happen? I feel like he has only shown us his first evolution, lol! Plus that weapon still running around.

Re: Calendar
Ya, you know how you don't notice that the health bar was blue as it was shrinking, only to be replaced by the full length red health bar.
Re: Calendar
Turns out I have to attend a high school band concert on the 9th. It should end around 9:30 Eastern Time, so I should be on Roll20 before 10:00.
Re: Calendar
Is the 9th when we're scheduled next? I think I missed specific dates... (If we ignore the strangeness around last week, the 2nd would be our next time, but I expect Dave has a gig or something?)
Re: Calendar
Actually, looking back the chat log on Roll20, it looks like it is supposed to be 12/2, not 12/9. Illian posted something about 12/9 right after DMDarcs said 12/2, so 12/9 seems to have stuck in my head. In that case, TOMORROW NIGHT!!!
Re: Calendar
Woah....I totally thought it was 12/9 as well.
Re: Calendar
Tonight?!?!
Re: Calendar
And go into labor!
Re: Calendar
Seriously, though, can we do 12/9 instead? Dave, gig status? I know Tahlvin will be late, but a delayed start is ok. (I have to work a concert as well.)
Re: Calendar
I can make 12/9 work, subject to the late arrival due to the concert.
Re: Calendar
Technically Dave said he was ok for tonight or 12/9 at the end of the last session. I am good for either as well. If we don't play tonight, maybe we could get together and discuss what we're playing next and plan characters?
Re: Calendar
12/9 is great. Or whenever. We've waited 8 years... what's a couple more weeks?
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Calendar
If we're not playing tonight, I'll probably take the opportunity to sleep. House remodel and all, plus just found out the mother of one my childhood friends and a good friend of my parents just passed away, and she was in the same hospital where my dad is staying after having some unusual draining after his 6 bypasses. So I'm not in the best of moods.
Re: Calendar
12/9 is good! I can do!
Re: Calendar
I will actually be on time tonight. My son is home sick from school today, and therefore cannot participate in the concert tonight. Thankfully, his COVID test came back negative, so it's just a cold/flu. Which is good, because we're dealing with enough other stuff as it is, without having to worry about isolating him.
Re: Calendar
Tonight!
Re: Calendar
I am attending school holiday event until 9:30 pm central time. Can't do anything about this or turn on the phone during it. But I'll be back as soon as I can to join you!
Re: Calendar
We are cancelling for tonight. Will reschedule later. I'll explain further when I'm off work, but Pat had vision trouble due to bent glasses, and now even with them fixed, he needs to rest his eyes for the night.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Calendar
Oh no! Hope your eyes feel better!
Re: Calendar

Re: Calendar
So, I'm headed onto my third day of double vision. My initial thought of bent glasses being the cause does not seem to be accurate. My GP believes it is viral related. I have to get into see an eye doctor, but can't get an appointment in yet. I have had an MRI, and it is not the cause of bleeding, mini-stroke, or tumor, so I've got that going for me. The double vision is largely negated by wearing an eyepatch, so that's what I'm doing for awhile. Unfortunately, it means no driving, so christmas gift buyihng is severely restricted for me at the momemnt.
Re: Calendar
Oh no! Hope they can figure it out and it gets better soon!
Re: Calendar
This is great news actually - we do NOT want any of these other potential causes! You all have had enough stress of this type for a lifetime.
The fact that the eye patch helps also seems like a positive sign, in terms of seriousness of the cause. One of my kids has lifelong eye issues and respiratory viruses that can trigger asthma/low oxygen can often cause her eyes to lose focus as well - perhaps the mechanism here is similar because restricting vision to one eye at a time helps resolve it. A virus that can weaken or affect the eye muscle can do this, because even if it's a slight weakening it will be noticeable. Hope it clears up quickly and you have no further problems. Eye problems suck. No good!
Re: Calendar
How’s the eye doing?
Re: Calendar
Still wearing the eye patch. It is definitely my right eye that is causing the problems. Double vision is immediate, and if the patch isn't in, I can't walk in a straight line. My legs think they're moving forward, but I'm actually moving backwards in space - very weird sensation. Heading to the eye doctor soon.
Re: Calendar
Update: I've now been diagnosed with sixth nerve palsy - which is a temporary paralysis of one of my optic nerves. Basically, I can't look right with my right eye, and it's throwing everything out of whack.
Re: Calendar
Glad they have a diagnosis, even if it sucks, hope they are able to get to an effective treatment plan.
Re: Calendar
Yah, that sucks. What are next steps?
Re: Calendar
Just to check, I assume we are not playing tonight. I don't want to pressure DMDarcs; health and family comes first, and gaming comes later, so if more time is needed, that's fine. I just wanted to make sure everyone else is planning to play tonight and I'm out of the loop.
Re: Calendar
We can absolutely play tonight. I can accomodate for the patch. The treatment plan is "this heals on its own, so wait three months and reassess."
Re: Calendar
YAY!
Re: Calendar
My family and I are delivering a hedgehog to my son tonight. It will take two hours, but I don't know how late we are leaving.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Calendar
This is the best reason ever to be late.
I will be late because martial arts class, dinner, and have to WORK 100% level aaaaaaaaa and then I can play if I keep working 50%.
Re: Calendar
Hello world, are we doing this thing tomorrow night? If so I need to make ready!
Re: Calendar
I will not be able to make it tomorrow night, as we will be flying. But next Thursday for sure, or even another night next week.
Re: Calendar
Yes. I believe I am sojourning tomorrow evening to help my son fetch a car. 70% likely, at least.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Calendar
Darn, and I was so looking forward to playing! Anyone want to celebrate NYE with an online game night, so we can wrap this thing up? No? Well, DMDarcs, what's our rain date?
Re: Calendar
I don't want to monopolize other people's NYE (I personally don't have any plans other than eating a lot of junk food), but could play on NYE if everyone else wanted to.
Other than that, I think maybe the 6th of January is the best go date?
Other than that, I think maybe the 6th of January is the best go date?
Re: Calendar
I don't have anything going on NYE, so I could play, but I certainly understand if others have plans. January 6 works for me.
Re: Calendar
Well, I'll talk to my SO but I know that what plans we had have been taken over by a certain virus.
Re: Calendar
I have no such plans and will be hosting various 14 year olds so the ability to hide in my room would not be a bad thing.
Re: Calendar
As far as I know there are no plans here and I'm sure I can opt-out of any plans the family has based on the fact that I've got a persistent illness and any plans would involve being around my mother-in-law who is undergoing chemo... so...
Re: Calendar
Definitely family time for me on New Year's Eve. I'd prefer Jan 6th.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.
Re: Calendar
January 6th is also fine.
Re: Calendar
Tomorrow!
