Using commercial space travel to do stunts is an excellent idea. I assume coming soon will be the youngest people too. Maybe a president, probably former to start. It'll all be lots of fun until either the economy collapses or an accident happens. But until then, boldly go...

I was thinking yesterday how weird it is that we can criticize Bezos so heavily for being a civilian in space, but praise William Shatner for flying on Bezos's space car right after him.

I am a little embarrassed to say this but that ain't no "car". It's something else, starts with D, 5 letters, and I'll leave it laying there for the viewer.

I am enamored of the Buck Rogers style landing of the launch vehicles these days.

Also, so many people decrying a wealthy person doing a thing makes me ill. In a capitalist economy the wealthy bankroll the rollout of new luxury technologies that the common person will have in 30 years....
Digital watches
Cell phones
Microwaves

Where I have a problem is when Big Pharma does it to the common man for YEARS.
Insulin and hearing aids...seriously? I mean viagra is covered by our insurance whether you want it or not, but how about my blood thinner or my wife's hearing aids?

Good for Bezos!

Now do meds!
"Yay! I'm for the other team."

I agree with you, Mando. I’m a wealth equity socialist and all (I know you’re not). But I also know that if I was rich enough to take myself and my closest friends to space, then I would totally do that. But I’d also make sure to donate millions of dollars to a good cause to show I’m not a total pig (just like Bezos did).

It’s weird to see the same nerds decrying Bezos as an egomaniac, but also lauding getting Kirk into space. It’s dissonant. Just be happy that something cool happened.

He is an egomaniac, though, isn't he? Maybe not as sleazy as Musk, but that's a low bar. They're both pathetic cheating husbands.

Yes. For sure. I think he’s extremely flawed and terrible. But not because he went to space.

Musk: If you can play my little debate game, which you cannot, I will save a bunch of people's lives with 6 billion! Otherwise f*** 'em!

Bezos: I am giving 2 billion (to help repair the damage my company causes) to the environment!

Bezos: 2 pts
Musk: -6 pts

This should transition into a Bezos vs. Musk contest.

I'm going to deduct a point for Musk for saying if he gets taxed more then the government will come for everyone's taxes.

Oh hohaaaha that is a good one! Since that dummkopf apparently lives in a storage crate because he thinks it's cool, he may not realize that I'm already being taxed every month on my primary lump of wealth: the unrealized gains of property ownership! Well I'm sure he realizes it but he does not give a crap. Guessing that Jeff Bezos has a smaller penis but it's what you do with it, I hear? I wouldn't know what that problem is like, but it's nothing we can assign points to. And after all, Mackenzie is cooler and she stayed with Bezos for longer, so maybe she knows something we don't.
