It's a movie called Zero Hour!
Zero Hour! (1957) In 1950s Canada, during a commercial flight, the pilots and some passengers suffer food poisoning, thus forcing ex-WW2 fighter pilot, Ted Stryker, to try to land the airliner in heavy fog.

Re: Zero Hour!
The guy that played Ted Stryker in Zero Hour was in The Best Years of Our Lives! That's great!
Re: Zero Hour!
All I know about it is it's use in Airplane!. Part of me has been interested to check it out, but everytime I'm like "why not just watch Airplane! again?"
Re: Zero Hour!
For me, because it is only 81 minutes long and because I know Airplane SO well, that I think I would enjoy watching Zero Hour! because I would be filling in the jokes myself and seeing the inspiration would entertain me.
