I miss Steven Wright

Post by Kyle »

I saw these clips and remembered how much I loved Steven Wright. And here's the thing- his weirdo humor is so weird that it's timeless. So good.

Steven Wright and Mitch Hedberg are the two people I think of first when I think of really great one-liner comedians of my own era. I also put Dimitri Martin in there as a good combo one-liner/prop comic.

I'm sure there are other one-liner comics out there, but I don't follow comedy like I used to.

I think of Wright as the standup version of Gary Larson.
