KICK OUT THE JAMS MOTHER !!!!!!ER!!!!!

So good.

That said, none of their songs I've heard have lived up to this extreme burst of proto-punk. Proto-punk? Pre-core? OG Screemo?

It surprises me to hear this! I don't listen to them but I guess was around people who did; oddly some of the same people who really liked Hüsker Dü and Big Black. And the Talking Heads. ?? Dunno.

I'm listening to their stuff today and I'm actually really digging it. Clearly Kick Out the Jams (MFer) is their greatest. Their live stuff is really good. And I'm really liking their Back in the USA album from '70.

In a few weeks (I think), they're coming out with their first album of new music in 50 years. I'm actually pretty excited to hear it now.
