If band names were literal, what would be the worst live concert to go to? The best?

The Who would be rather forgettable.
I think The Crickets might sound nice, Beatles maybe slightly less so
Will keep thinking but Electric Light Orchestra would be a great concert!

I'd be down for Monkees or Gorillaz.

No so much for Slaughter.

Definitely a big no for the Cherry Poppin Daddies.

10,000 Maniacs. I'll call that bad.

Flo Rida used to be a fun show, but has gotten too political.

Love and the Fifth Dimension would rival Nirvana.

But not so for The Zombies

The uncertainty of They Might Be Giants might not be great. If they show up big, there could be problems.

Hee hee so true! Safer bet to see the Pixies?
I don't know that I would want Nirvana to happen at the actual show - in that genre I think I would prefer Soundgarden? That seems very pleasant.
The more you ponder this the weirder it gets. Like what exactly would appear if you went to see Heart?
Or... Alabama?
Can it be merely a small piece, or the entire population, or what are we talking?

How do we feel about Weezer in this context? Probably not a great show...

Death Cab for Cutie
Nine Inch Nails
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Green Day
The Police

Although U2 and The Eagles might make for a nice airshow. And Oasis might be refreshing.

Yo-Yo Ma might be interesting.
AC/DC would be shocking.
Air Supply or Breathe could be helpful, if it was done at a high altitude venue.
All-American Rejects or Backstreet Boys would only be so-so.
The B-52's would be a good addition to the U2/Eagles air show.
Bad Company wouldn't be too fun, and Bad English would be hard to understand.
Not to be sexist, but Barenaked Ladies could potentially be a good show.
The Beach Boys would be too sandy.
Billy Ocean would be soothing.
The Black Crowes would be a bunch of cawing, while the Black Eyed Peas with Cream would make for a decent meal, perhaps, but Counting Crows could get boring pretty quickly.
Blessed Union of Souls or Collective Soul would probably be up there with Nirvana.
Blink-182 would be boring.
Bowling for Soup might be fun to watch.
The Cars would be a car show. Maybe they could double-bill with Crash Test Dummies.
The Chainsmokers would be too carcinogenic.
Cheap Trick wouldn't be very amusing.
Chicago or Boston???
Coldplay would be uncomfortable.
The Commodores would be too militaristic.
And don't even get me started on what a Fine Young Cannibals concert would be like!!!

You are a bad person and also my parents and grandparents used to make that joke all the time after they saw Cheap Trick play a song on some type of televised New Years Eve special or something - they were like CHEAP TRICK INDEED and they all found it UPROARIOUSLY funny. For Years.

Personally, I like those bands. But if we're taking their names literally...
