Women are taking over!

Climate change is killing the sea turtles. At least, indirectly. Gender in many aquatic reptiles is determined by the incubation temperature of the eggs. Cold weather means more males. Warm weather means more females. The sands of Florida this year are warm enough that 99% of the new hatchlings are female. There's still plenty of existing males, and some very small number of new ones, but if this keeps up, it could be the end of them in the wild.
On the other hand, the currently living males will keep breeding for another 40 years, so we have a little time to fix this.
