Re: Deathless
Pat was right: Resident Alien is so good... so much promise! Alan Tudyk is brilliant as the titular alien stranded on earth and accidentally posing as a small-town doctor while trying to complete his mission. It is an hour long drama that is decidedly a comedy. The pilot episode is still the only one available, so get in on ground floor before episode 2 comes out tonight!
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.

Re: Deathless
It was my recommendation on the podcast, but Pat may really like it as well, I don't know.
Re: Deathless
I meant Tahlvin then. So sorry. Great call!

Re: Deathless
I love Alan Tudyk so much too. I've recently finished watching both seasons of the Harley Quinn animated show (so great- one of my favorite shows right now) and realized that Tudyk does so many voices on it. He's becoming the Mark Hammill of voice over work. He's so good.

Celebrate 10/10. A foundational song in my life and soundtrack throughout November, I played everytime Biden won the election (like eight times)

I wanted that car sooooooooo bad! We would have been the coolest kids in all of creation. All we were missing was a condor car.

Re: Deathless
Tragic cultural problems:
We used to have songs like Morning Train and Let's Hear it for the Boy and others that celebrated the man going off and working and how much the woman in this hetero pairing appreciated it. I always appreciated such songs and find them charming. We also had women appreciating other working women in song, like Dolly Parton and Donna Summer and Cyndi Lauper - today we have Missy and Beyonce and others. But when I think about men nowadays who appreciate the success of working women and their commitment to their labors, the main person who pops to mind is Drake. We are told he is some sort of creep and borderline worse, so it makes me sad that the champion of the working woman in our day is Drake and that's what we've got.

And this will wrap up 1981...
Re: Deathless
Let's start 1982...
Re: Deathless
Is there another sex-related song that is less sexually inspiring than this one? The video itself doubtless helps others more than it could me, but like, Prince singing the alphabet would be more powerfully aphrodisiac.
Re: Deathless
1982 is starting off with some bangers!
Re: Deathless
Another banger!
