Out of touch, out of time? Cuz I'm out of my head when you're not around.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.

Yancey (a coworker) loves Thin Man. He tells me I should watch it just so I can appreciate the inspector from Hoodwinked even more.

Classic! Been a while but was the funniest of Capra's films. That and It Happened One Night, were cuts above the rest. The only bummer is knowing that Boris Karloff played the bad guy on Broadway, that's the What If version I want.

Re: Deathless
Two Tripods, moving fast and heading directly for us. I looked around desperately, but knew what I would see. The land was green and flat, without a tree or rock, a hedge or ditch, and the nearest farmhouse was half a mile away.
Henry said, “Shall we run for it?”
“Run where?” Beanpole asked. “It is no good.”
His voice was flat. If he recognized it was hopeless, I thought, then it was hopeless indeed. In a minute or two they would be on us. I looked away from them to the gleaming battlements of white. To have come so far, endured so much, and to lose with our goal in sight—it was unfair.
The earth shook more violently. They were a hundred yards away, fifty … They marched side by side, I saw, and their tentacles were doing strange things, probing and retreating from each other, describing elaborate patterns in the air. And something moved between and above them, a golden something that flashed with brightness, tossed to and fro against the blue of sky.
They were on us. I waited for a tentacle to reach down and seize me, conscious less of fear than of a futile anger. A great foot slammed down a few yards from us. And then they were past, and going away, and my legs felt as though they were buckling. Beanpole said, in wonder, “They did not see us. Because they were too concerned with each other? Some ritual of mating, perhaps? But they are machines. What then? It is a puzzle to which I would like the answer.”

Yes, there appears to be a typo. I can think of a song where they say something LIKE this, but it's not the beginning of the song? Does that count? And it's also not quite like this. Out of my window or outside my window, but not out my window? I don't know. They are in moonlight, however.

Two silhouettes saying goodnight. By the garden gate.
I didn't look up the lyrics, because the one I know are from the punk cover of Come Dancing by Good Riddance. Apparently the Kinks say, "Out of my window I could see them." Either way, Mike should have gotten this. Its one of his favorite punk covers.

Saw it in theaters in high school. Greatly anticipated, and then severely disappointing. Haven't seen it since.

Re: Deathless
Yeah, I assume that, since it is on so many goat comedy lists. I was a dumb high school kid expecting a Monty Python movie, and instead I got some sort of caper (? I don't remember much).
I might.
