I remember once when I was in college, I was in a crowded restaurant lobby with a friend, waiting for a table. The lobby was clearly labeled as non-smoking, but my friend had just lit his cigarette and refused to let it go to waste, so he continued smoking it inside. The big dude in front of us made some indirect comment about it, which offended my friend (who was quite clearly in the wrong). So when the big dude turned his back to us, my friend put out the cigarette on the back of the guy's jacket (which I remember as being leather, but it was 30 years ago, so who knows). The guy never noticed, and if anyone else did, they never said a word to anyone. My buddy laughed about it all night. I was kinda horrified.

It's funny, you know, because I was having a kind of low-grade, rolling, extended panic attack, trying not to respond to it with anything more damaging than drinking a cold soda, and then I read these worrying posts and they so distracted the worry-part of my brain that it forgot about whatever was causing it to feel sweaty and panicked. Okay, back to doing laundry. Great talk, everyone! I am restored.

No guitar solo? Shocking. Minimalist backing works pretty well. Very soulful rendition tempered as it's a very-faithful cover 9/10
This one hit the billboard top 100 too even though at the end it sounds like he hit the microphone on his teeth. 9/10

I made coffee, set it down on the table, went back to make oatmeal, and by that time forgot whether I had actually made the coffee. I was going to make another cup and then found the first one sitting full on the table! What a victory! Day off to a good start already.
Oops I spoke too soon. Cannot bend the lower back forward when seated, aaaaaagh! This getting old thing is a b****.

What? Real crowd noise? Maybe it's juiced a little but props to an audience acting how a audience would to an exciting new song. John Denver hasn't really been on my radar since my tween years, has a sanguid and sentimental reputation, but he's really good. This is an ode to the simple life that I can get behind. The city sucks because of the uber rich in their limos and country we work easy and play easy. A rural urban divide I can get behind... 10/10
