Imagine a bear. Now imagine that the bear is doing cocaine. Lots and lots of cocaine. Imagine that this murderous mountain of tooth and claw would go to any lengths to get MORE cocaine. It's like that.

Sure, it's Dahl's estate, and they can do what they want with their property. If they want to try to sanitize his image, or make more money by re-releasing different versions of his book, that's their right. If this is what parents want for their kids, then fine. It's just not for me. Maybe I'm just passing into "grumpy old man" territory. Or not getting enough sleep. Bah, humbug.

I honestly don't remember this, and it's making me worry about my mind. The only thing that comes up is when people like Ted Cruz were mad for some reason and reading Dr Seuss on the floor of Congress? It's hard to keep up with which books are supposed to be banned.

You lose me at the point where people who disagree with you on matters of taste are inferior people.

Exactly my point. If Mormons want a video store that edits out the language, violence and nudity- go for it. There's Mormons that will appreciate that. Let's not worry about having to keep track of what things people should read and what they shouldn't. Let's just let them make up their own minds.
