Love love love Ella Mai! Do you think Trip will be in 2018 along with Booed Up? I just hear these things on the radio and don't have a sense of how successful they were chart-wise. Right this was the year I got into Lizzo (and shared here) but she didn't hit mainstream until next year. That said she was a critical darling since at least 2016 when "Good as Hell" first dropped. ya ya eee

I definitely don't revisit her 2016 EP enough lately. She showed even then she could dominate all corners of R&B, like this throwback with extended fluting
