It was when Paul was still on the boards. He was talking about being discontent with his job and feeling general malaise that there wasn't anything that excited him. So that's when I piped in with "Have you tried drift car racing? How awesome would that be?!?" Or something like that. Then Earl flipped his shit on me and started yelling at me for being an insensitive asshole to Paul when Paul was having a vulnerable moment and really opening up to us. And then I think Earl quit the site again (he did it several times). Then Paul chimed in to say he actually thought it was really funny-- which was my whole purpose in the comment in the first place: to make him laugh.

That was it! Yeah, I knew there was a story behind it that made it stuck with me.

It's an okay morning. I'm just losing motivation for this site. It's been a year since the Runelords game ended, and the next campaign just hasn't ramped up. There haven't been any other games really. No podcasts for over a year. It's just been a year of "keep this thread alive" and occasional posts about people dying or people exercising. I'm just not getting that gaming itch scratched anymore.

This is that time of life when we get ready for the monotony of the nursing home. We're all performing this service.

I remember the drift cars because I didn't know what it was and I ended up going down the rabbit hole and let's be honest, drift car racing is really f****** cool.

I watch drift car racing and just think about how bad all that burning rubber smells and how much they spend replacing their tires so often.
