They're not? Then why do they call themselves Creed?
Deathless

Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.

Re: Deathless
I thought and still think they kept it purposely vague, so they could court religious and secular fans alike, and it worked.
I've always hated the music but reading the wiki on the lead singer, it humanized him and his difficulties, checked my assumptions and biases and jealousy.

Pretty great, though Academy Award nominee Sacha Baron Cohen kinda falls flat but nice for Madonna to try to break him worldwide years before Borat.

Re: Deathless
Is there a term for this kind of youtube video, that's pirated and has some rando as the creator and is poorly encoded but comes from an earlier era of YouTube where people were cool with this but somehow still is live?

Creed isn't christian. Hmm. I agree with Pete- I think they were playing both sides of the fence. 21 Pilots did the same thing.

I still dig this song.
EDIT: Damn, the radio edit is WAY different. I'm guessing "street sweeper" is some sort of gun reference. I was baffled at first that they were bleeping it.

Re: Deathless
Songs that play off the rhythms of school days play songs are so easy catchy that I'm surprised it's not done more. One of my favs from that genre, also made around this time (with the music performed all on kids toys)

Was surprised one great + popular 2000 song wasn't on the list but looked it up and it's on the 2001 list. Spoiled!

It does feel like a mistake right?
"only the third (and currently last) single to top the year-end charts despite never spending a week at the top of the weekly charts"

That's more like it! An all time great debut single. Pathos and proficiency, poppy and soul. Near perfect.

Being a catchy song doesn't mean it's good and being overplayed doesn't mean it's bad. It's in this weird purgatory state in my brain.

I get the voice is a bit light, the others in her field and stature have more character (you'd think it'd have more character because she's like a very good actress!), but she still sings well and the songs are good too. I like it!
