The most important thing you need to know about Pinus Strobus is that these pines are amazingly silky soft. Yes, spruces of the spiky needle, you heard me: despite having big clusters of long needles, these pines are delightful to touch and brush gently against the skin. I have seen more than one nursed from baby size to giant and they are absolutely perfect in their growth habit, their color, symmetry, and ideal balance between openly spaced branches and robust density for shade. The needles create a delicate carpet and the scent of these trees is divine. Kind of good news! The dog is healthy, if not obese, for a 7 and half year old dog. He's just got grand mal seizures. They ran blood work but don't expect to find anything abnormal in that. The vet said that most dog's seizures are ideopathic, and we'll never know what causes them, but they're not doing any permanent damage to him. So they gave us medicine to try to keep them from happening, but think he's going to be fine!
