Re: Deathless
Dirty South has taken over! Didn't know Lil Jon also produced, thought he was only around for yeahs and okays, which are also better than I remembered. I drastically unappreciated his contribution.

Re: Deathless
How is it Yeah is etched into my memory, and Burn doesn't even register?
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.

Can't hear with fresh ears, impossible task. As usual with a lot of these overplayed hits, the verses are better than the chorus.

Re: Deathless
OUTKAST I looooooooove this song! Cheers for 2004!!! 2004 was a bad year for me; I came as close as I am interested in approaching to my demise and spent my only non-baby-related time in hospital. Did not enjoy! Music was good.
Re: Deathless
Is this another example of the year cutting off a bigger hit, because -- I love this song, and now listen to Speakerboxxx more than Love Below -- but I doubt this was bigger than Hey Ya.

Haha. It alright. Gets points for being a huge club anthem that's about telling men they ain't getting some.

Re: Deathless
Listening to this a little bit thinking about the Rock Hall, which has been trying to move more towards pop and hip hop, and never realized but seems pretty clear now that Usher will be an eventual inductee. He's was huge and good.

Re: Deathless
Two very competing emotions in this video, but what do I know, maybe there's a thing called horny grief.
Re: Deathless
Apparently getting horny is an extremely common and normal reaction to loss and grief. I Googled "horny grief" and was surprised that the first page of links we're all work-safe.

Thought this was new to me but no. Maybe heard it as a wedding or something?
Re: Deathless
This makes sense in a way because perhaps the flooding of emotion gets things all crisscrossed in the old brains, but it is so far from my experience as to be almost unimaginable, phenomenologically speaking. The only remotely comparable case would be like when you have a fever, because physiologically you may experience some overlaps, but it's pretty clear how terrible you would feel if you had to act on it, ick!
Re: Deathless
Yes. The sense of loss and emptiness leads some to want to fill the void with sensations that make them feel something again.
