Re: Deathless
Always felt like Evanescence was something I should have been into, but I never was. Liked a couple songs okay, but that was about it.
Any time the solution is "banjo rifle", I'm in 100%.

I love that skeet skeet skeet skeet is safe for the radio edit.

I listened to this but forgot to comment. Uhh excellent example of choosing an unrepresentative titillating thumbnail.
Re: Deathless
I was put off by the misogyny of the opening. The song is ordinary at best.

Wasn't a fan of hers prior so this really blew me away. A top tier pop ballad. Bringing it back: 10/10

Mariah's back with a whistle register coda. Busta, being less weird than usual, but it's alright.

Re: Deathless
Doesn't match the original, but pretty faithful cover, I mean so much so that the original singer comes in to duet.

Can't tell if I remember this song or their other duets. Love when music videos feature a snippet of another song with a different vibe at the end.

Re: Deathless
Was this like a November release because I feel this was huge...
Update: Came out October 2002, it split over multiple years, not only the 28th biggest hit of 2003 but the 28th biggest hit of the decade.
Wikipedia only lists 11 songs that sold more copies in the US.

As I know from my year-based project, sometimes year-based lists don't give the full picture.

Uhh, I'll try. She at times reminds me of Janet. Honestly never listened to this much Ashanti.
Re: Deathless
2003 is far and away the year so far that I have recognized THE LEAST songs. I've only recognized a couple by artist/title alone, and then grand total I maybe am familiar with half of them once I listen.
2003 was the year my third son was born. I'm betting 2006 is going to be pretty bad as well. We'll see.
