Re: This Happened
I would think so! One sad reality at my kid's school is that on a weekly basis somebody either pulls the fire alarm or they have a drill pretending that there's a crisis, so they all just monotone wander outdoors every time and are sick of it. For some I'm sure it's a low level constant anxiety beca...
Re: Protests
Well what I liked about it was the recognition of human suffering that is most important at the bottom of all this, combined with recognition of how intractable the problem seems. But even in this most intractable situation we have to try to solve it in some way. Even if it just means a partial impr...

What do you think of her fantasy books? Probably this has come up elsewhere but I was not connecting it in my mind. Have never read these but I think I'll start and probably will do it by purchasing series for a kid or relative.

Re: My Student Loans were Forgiven
Wow, it's wild that students were being given, like in your case, tens of thousands in loans that started accumulating interest even before the student finished school and became employed. That strikes me as fundamentally predatory because the whole point is that it's a student loan. And then repaym...
Re: Protests
This is not particularly comforting, but we know the false narratives are spun in many directions and not only one. For example, the recent hospital strike made headlines and earned condemnation from the UN and various nations, and initially we heard thousands were dead and the IDF were monsters who...

No Hard Feelings Jennifer Lawrence plays a 30 something lady who ends up, through a series of misfortunes, dating a much younger adult/kid who is getting ready to start his first year at Princeton. People at work are driving me insane.
That is all.
The dog peed on a blanket and it is so annoying. Even so, I'd rather deal with the dog. I launder the blanket. Maybe twice. Then it's ok. Can't launder people's irritating and imo vaguely racist bs so easily.
