WOW. This hooked me from the minute Paak gives his smile. Dunno if this song will take over the world (though wouldn't be surprised if it does) but love love love the joy exuded here. And the fade out!

Re: Falling Asleep to...

This is great, exactly what I wanted. I changed the name of it (originally said Falling Asleep to The Simpsons) to make it more open ended. Since I've been a lot better about my anxious thought spirals, recently I've actually enjoyed falling asleep to silence. There's something, what's the word, pea...

Re: Falling Asleep to...

I made it a bit farther into Episode 4, the Dr. Marvin Monroe zapping each other episode, which is about how much Homer worries his family is terrible. So in that way, it doesn't quite have the character relationships down -- Future Homer would care less that his family's going to hell. Lisa or Marg...

Falling Asleep to...

What do y'all fall asleep to? For the past few weeks I've been slowly working my way through the first few episodes of The Simpsons via Disney Plus. But really slowly as I have not yet made it through a single Season 1 episode without falling asleep. Now, this is to be expected as I'm putting it on ...

An absolute favorite as a seven-year-old. And as much as it's no longer a staple of 80s stations and is probably in the process of a culture insensitivity check, it's like so catchy and fun otherwise. Like wondering what the best quote unquote raps by otherwise non-hip-hop-based white artists, especially in the 80s. I'd give Madonna's "Vogue" props, it was great at the time and I hear it's echos in modern pop diva anthems. Though it gets a bit complicated as it's a list, and thus could ...

Which is just confusing given the modern usage of "featuring" but then again this was well after the band Rufus featuring Chaka Khan. But for starting a solo career, pretty much a perfect credit.
