Alright, this is grunge, at least in fashion.
Again, history according to this chart is R&B is sky high on the pop chart while guitar rock is almost nowhere to be found. Wonder if any year between then and now will feel any different.

I got something. Maybe her best use of the whistle register. Used in the intro, instead of as the climax (gets it out of the way, like the best Hitchcock cameos), then used along with the chorus melody. I really like this, it holds up very well.
