I'll be driving through Nebraska on Wednesday on my way to Colorado for Spring Break, then back through on Sunday as we head back home. Sorry there won't be time to stop and visit with any of you Nebraskans as we pass through, but I'll wave to you from the Interstate!

Well, I do already have several Discord channels (or whatever they're called) related to NPR: one for Godball, and two for a game Mike started running where we were playing high school kids in a horror movie, Dangers in the Mist.

Having flown in and out of Reagan National airport quite a bit for work in 2003/2004, I've followed the path that airplane was taking. If I had a choice nowadays, I would fly into Dulles or Baltimore and drive the extra time into DC rather than flying into National. Although the drive from the airpo...

I've worked around the health insurance industry since college, when I did a summer internship with an insurance company working with an actuary that negotiated reimbursement rates with physician offices. The aching is over, thankfully. I started running again, as well. Just a short, slow 1 mile 3 times a week and a 3 mile run on the weekend. But it's helping with the cardio.

Oof. I strained a muscle in my lower back pretty bad at the end of August and had to stop exercising for several months. I started working out for the first time yesterday morning. I've seen pictures where old houses used to have a slot in the wall where you could dispose of your used, dull razor blades, but there wasn't actually a container for them, they would just fall into the gap between the plaster/sheet rock of the wall. Makes remodeling old houses a bit hazardous.

My uncle took me to a number of Reds games when I was little and I loved watching Rose, Bench, et al. Too bad he broke the cardinal rule of baseball and bet on it while still in the game. I personally think the lifetime ban was deserved.

Another apparent assassination attempt. Suspect is a 60 yo white male, former Trump voter with a weird social media history. And oddly timed to distract from the pet-eating nonsense. It will be interesting to see what the history of this time reads like 20, 30, 40 years in the future.

I have at least one case in my family tree of two brothers from one family marrying two sisters from another family, as well as at least one case of a brother marrying his brother's widow. But you have to go back to the 1800's or earlier to find those cases.

This stuff with Trump at Arlington National Cemetery is another round of nutty stuff. And every news report that mentions that the employee declined to file charges should mention WHY she declined: because she was afraid of being harassed by Trump supporters.
