Takeoff, at age 28. Terrible, so young, just released a new album, new song, the most talented one of the Migos. Apparently killed over nothing, so sad.

It's weird because I know him as the guy from Evening Shade. Everyone under 40 knows him from TikTok.

"Evening Shade? What's that?'"

"Evening Shade? Burt Reynold's last big role?"

"Burt Reynolds? Who's that?"

They know Leslie Jordan, but they don't know Burt Reynolds.

And now I go to find out the name of his character on imdb, and I discover HE WASN'T EVEN ON EVENING SHADE! AM I IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE?

I decided that is who I must be thinking of. But it's weird. I could have sworn with 95% certainty it was Leslie Jordan.

I think it was on NPR, they showed a clip of him giving his own memorial to Mr. Cooper in a scene with Big Bird et alia. He was all choked up and then we all mimicked this while watching. So sad. Childhood.

He was originally a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance... then a coach and choreographer on the same show... and then a judge. And all the years I've watched him, he's just been a ray of sunshine. One of the most positive and uplifting people around. So this is sad in that his public persona obviously gave no hints that he was troubled, and the whole thing is just a shock. I really liked him.
