NEW FORUMS (again)

Hey look! It's green! You can change that if you want. If you go to your profile and look at Board Preferences, you can select your style. The "Nerd Pride Classic" style from the last boards is Aqua if you want to go back to that. There's also Steel and Blue.

This is a slightly newer version of phpBB3, so some things are a little different. I still need to add in the old smilies, and I have to figure out how to put the Invisibles button and the Youtube button back in.

If you notice anything else, put it here.

Not sure if it's intentional or not, but I noticed on the NPR home page http://www.nerdprideradio.com/ that the link to the forums takes you to the broken old forums rather than to these new forums.

I just want to add how much I love the green forums, how nice they are, how much I would like to give money to the cause of them (how do we support their upkeep? Check to you? PayPal?), and how much this is the superior social media site for all time. I wish I could bring like 24 middle aged ladies here from FB but I don't think it's going to happen, so here we are, but you are all (except our occasional visitors from the Queendom of Superior Nerd Women) the superior group, the proper model of Masculinity, Nerditude, and Nerd Masculinity, or Masculine Smart People, or whatever. Whatever. It works.

Agreed! The easily embeddable videos and social media posts are wonderful. Just give us back the invisible text and the dancing banana, and you got perfection.

If you could be a fly on the wall watching me try to make my text invisible in that forum you would probably leave it the way it is just for the sheer humor value. However nobody else gets to enjoy it so you have to take my word for it. Is there a greater comedy of errors?

So today Zombie asked me, "Hey- why has your brother just quit on the site?"

"What do you mean," I said. "We're on there everyday."

He responds, "No. Look." Then he goes to the front page and clicks on the Forums link and it takes him to the old broken forums.

He told me he would have been participating for the last few months if he'd known we'd had working forums again.

Can you please fix that link?
