Virginia loves California

Post by Phoebe »

Out of the various pieces of bad news this morning I find this one hilarious:
https://thehill.com/policy/energy-envir ... -cars/amp/

In short, the Virginia assembly when it was controlled by Democrats passed a law saying they would have to follow the California auto standards set by a certain body. Well, now that CA is phasing out gas powered vehicles, Virginia will have to do the same unless it can get the law overturned in the meantime. I'm sure it hands the Republicans there a juicy campaign issue, not wanting to be like California, but it's still hilarious.

I wonder if that includes tractors?

There are some beginning to come out but they are way too small for the job and usually only have a 5 hour battery life.

This should be a lesson to anyone.
