Re: Deathless
I got tired of people telling me that they needed something from the store when I'm trying to work then getting mad that I forgot. So, I implemented a google doc shopping list - if it's not on there it doesn't count. My wife had added beet pills to the list. I changed it to butt pills and she didn't...

Apparently, Trump had been quite taken with Obama's letter to him so took the time to write a nice letter for Biden.

I like Savage Worlds but never fell in love. I hope they can give it D&D/Pathfinder flavor while sticking to low to medium crunch.

Biden is reported to nominate people to the SEC and consumer financial protection bureau who are aligned with Elizabeth Warren and progressive groups. That implies tougher enforcement of banking regulations.

The part I forgot to emphasize - people wring their hands about getting rid of pennies but, for a while, all change stopped at most places and the world didn't implode. I think there'd be complainers with a switch and nostalgia but it would mostly not be a big deal.

So, pennies. We all know Mike hates them. I agree but with less passion. For a while during the pandemic, stores around here stopped doing all change. They'd round up to the nearest dollar if you used cash. Hardly anyone blinked. Maybe we should get rid of pennies and nickels, rounding to the neares...

Just having nominations for positions that don't feel like joke nominations is refreshing. I was never that enthusiastic about Biden - he's old and feels out of step. But, publicly, his positions have moved to the left in the last year. I don't know how much of this campaign talk, how much is compro...

There may be enough votes to impeach *and* convict. It'll be interesting to see what happens. A large chunk of gop senators would have to vote for conviction. But McConnel might tell them to vote for conviction to get rid of Trump. It would be painful in the short run for gop politicians but they m...

The smartass answer is 1. Once you've made a slice, you have more than one square. You can't do 2 or 3 unless you allow extra cuts and then putting pieces back together. There's probably a formula list all options but that's too much thinking for me. I'll leave it to Flameblade as a belated birthday...

Sad but predictable.
The purposeful lack of help to the DC police, the presence of zip ties, the talk of lynching Pence, the way Trump made a speech and then hid, all add up a poorly run coup attempt instead of just a riot.

Hitler eventually turned on and disavowed his brown shirts. Here's what I'm afraid is going to happen. Politicians will say the rioters went too far and will let them be prosecuted. It's one of the biggest health problems. I don't have any good answers. I've lost years of my life. In some ways, treatment is primitive.
